Superette held up at knife point

Superette robbery

The Gordonton Superette has been held up at knife point – the third time it’s been hit in two months, says the Waikato Times.

Police were called to the store on Gordonton Rd at 1.19pm on Sunday following reports of four people robbing the store with a knife.

They stole some cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

No-one in the store was injured, Waikato senior sergeant Wayne Shanks said.

The Superette, run by  Sushant and Bharati Rajan, was ramraided twice in August.  In the second incident, police followed a car to Ngaruawahia where two male youths were arrested.  Number 8 Network sends our support and love to this wonderful family.
