Arrests made in Gordonton ram-raid
The news was almost unbelievable – another break in at the Gordonton Superette, just days after a previous one.
This time it was different. Dairy owner Sushant Rajan, up in the night to check on his sick daughter, spotted two suspicious cars at 2.20am. Acting on instinct, wife Bharati called the police. Soon after one of the cars smashed through the front shop window, they told the Waikato Times.
Police came out promptly and followed the car to Ngaruawahia – where two male youths were arrested.
The Rajans are relieved arrests have been made, and Bharati told N8N she hopes this will be the end of it.
Many cheers to the clear thinking of Sushant and the great work of the NZ Police force – yet again.
