Pick of the crop

Gordonton’s Zealong Tea Estate has been visited by royalty –  King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u of Tonga were shown around the estate and then treated to a five-course meal.  The royal couple were gifted some premium New Zealand-grown tea to take with them.

A visitor to Cornerstone Alpacas fell in love with Tairua, one of their stars.  (‘You can put her down now.’ ‘But I want to keep her!’)

Fun is being had at Orini Combined School.  Room 1 has been learning about 3D attributes. Amazing objects have been created from 3 D boxes and tubes.

Number 8 Network have been out and about – we visited slightly sunny Whanganui and managed to get in a spot of bird watching.  Not many people know that just out of the city is a small population of Nankeen Night Herons.  We’ve looked for these elusive birds before, and this time, we found ’em!
