Gorgeous Gordonton
Gordonton is just great, says Deborah Harrison from Simply Gorgeous. She has recently celebrated her sixth year in the village and says Gordonton responded to the beauty salon with open arms.
“It’s been wonderful. Catching up with customers are daily highlights, being part of their life through holidays, engagements, weddings and babies, one of the family – it’s very rewarding.”
Previously, she worked as a senior beauty therapist in Hamilton. A local client suggested she consider Gordonton after work had been completed on the buildings and she hasn’t looked back.
“It’s nicer working here than in town, you can develop a more personal relationship with people, and are appreciated.”
Ned, the salon moggy, also likes the appreciation (and adoration) – but with the hot season will spend more time at home. “He’ll possibly be back in the winter when it’s cooler.”
To celebrate six years’, Deborah has put together a small gift basket, including bubbly, chocolate, make-up bad, lip gloss, nail file and the like to say thank you. The prize will be drawn this Friday.
“Hopefully it will be a nice treat before Christmas.”
