The animals came in one by one
THERE were indeed interesting sights and sounds from St Mary’s Church when the Blessing of the Animals service was held.
Rev David Smithson says several rabbits (male and females were kept strictly apart!), dogs, a cockatiel and a calf named Daisy visited the little church in Gordonton.
The event, on Sunday 6 October, was in remembrance of St Francis of Assisi, the partron saint of animals.
