Paving paradise
Changes have taken place on Thomas and Hukanui Roads. Horsham Downs’ photographer Claudia Aalderink snapped these pics after the trees were cut. (Not so many years ago the space was a mini woodlands, with mature trees within and roses growing alongside the fence.)

This is awful. I used to enjoy going past that lovely little oasis, and to see it torn apart is very sad. Particularly since there seems little point in yet more retail/office/residential or whatever else space in that particular area. Sad.
