Happy Birthday Calf Club Day
Calves, lambs and kids of the four-legged variety were out in force at the recent North Waikato Group Day, held at Gordonton School.
This Group Day was a special one – it was the 60th anniversary of the event. The first meeting of the Ngaruawahia Agricultural Group was held on April 7 1952 at the instigation of the late Mr Ralph Birdsall. At the recent event, students from Gordonton, Horsham Downs, Puketaha, Horotiu, Te Kowhai, Rotokauri, Orini and Whitikahu schools enjoyed the day, despite the rain and wind.
